Shiden Ritter (Boss) is a Boss in Scarlet Nexus. Shiden is an OSF member who utilizes Electrokinesis to disable enemies, while unloading close up damage with his dual batons. As one of the core members in Kasane's platoon, he is only briefly fought against when playing as Kasane. Bosses are special Enemies that are uniquely named and must be defeated in order to unlock new areas, to progress the game, and to obtain various rewards. Strategy Writeup
With no other teammates present, this is a true 1 vs 1 battle, therefore this fight will be rather monotone and repetitive compared to other boss fights, as neither individuals have access to SAS powers. Similar to the battles against Yuito Sumeragi, Kasane's most obvious advantage against Shiden is her superior range on her auto-attacking melee weapon, the Arrowloot Leaf. A much quicker striker than Shiden up close, continuously interrupt him with Arrowloot Leaf attack combos, which should keep him at bay, preventing him from landing any attacks on you. Watch out for Shiden's occasional lunging slashes, and execute Perfect Dodges to counter if possible. Use Psychokinesis to further damage and knock back Shiden when at range. With Shiden constantly held back at range, he will should not be able to even touch you, thus unable to stun you with his Electrokinesis attacks.
Use the first Brain Crush available when Shiden is at around 70% health to burst him straight down to about 35% health. Continue to kite backwards as you throw your knives at him, and execute Perfect Dodges to counter whenever he lunges in. When Shiden is cornered near objects, pull them onto him from behind with Psychokinesis. Use Light Jellies to heal up if ever caught by his Electrokinesis melee attacks. Defeat Shiden as you continue to abuse Kasane's superior range and burst damage.

Shiden Ritter (Boss) Lore
Shiden Ritter is a core member to Kasane's platoon in the OSF. An ex-member of Kodama Melone's platoon, he transferred over as he was displeased with Kodama's unreasonable decision making, cause them both to resent each other. When Kasane woke up in an unknown room in Phase 3, Shiden Ritter was found to be guarding her. He reveals to her that his true allegiance actually belongs to that of general Karen Travers, because he gave Shiden the sense of appreciation he soughts after. Renowned for his self-conceitedness, Shiden was confident he could beat Kasane in a 1 vs 1 fight, but was left shockingly disappointed when she took him down with ease. As the rest of the platoon broke into the room to rescue Kasane, she kept Shiden's defeat in secret out of courtesy, leaving Shiden wondering which side he truly belongs to.
